At the conclusion of the 2005 season Romey, the beloved mascot of the Rome Braves decided he was a little lonely and fled from State Mutual Stadium in search of a companion. His journey led him back to his homeland, where the Coosa and Etowah Rivers meet.

While there for over three weeks, the Rome Braves front office staff, alarmed by his disappearance notified the Floyd County Police department and took out a Missing Mascot Report.  Unbeknownst to the community looking for Romey, he had fallen in love.  Romey, missing his family at State Mutual Stadium decided to bring Roxie, his new girl friend back home.

Romey and Roxie made their first public appearance at the 2005 Rome Christmas Parade. Delighted by the attention and support she received at the parade, Roxie was very excited to make State Mutual Stadium her home too. You can meet Romey and Roxie at any home game during the season, as they BOTH will entertain Rome Braves fans. Also look for Romey and Roxie out in your community!
